 Elizabeth George and I who had served as selectors for the previous Selection conference for those exploring a possible vocation to ordained ministry had been invited to serve as Secretary and Chair for a conference in Abu Dhabi. I had responsibility for setting a timetable for the conference, preparing a written exercise and two group exercises as well as being involved in interviewing alongside four other selectors responsible for different areas: vocational, educational, pastoral, and contextual. Elizabeth and I have now been invited to take on these roles permanently, with alternates if there are candidates from Bahrain. It was amazing to see the new St Andrew’s Centre, a building site the last time I visited! |
