 It was good to go up to see The Tree of Life, an iconic symbol of Bahrain – a single tree in the middle of the desert and presumably drawing moisture with its deep roots from some water source. The Ministry of culture have built a circular wall and walkway around the tree, though the tree is not central to it enabling you to see it from different angles and distances. And there is lighting underneath which will in time be lighting it at night. There is also a simple Visitors’ Centre with information about the tree and the arcaeological excavations around it. |
