 At the Nine Lessons and Carols our worship was enriched by an augmented Manama Singers choir and a family orchestra. Beatrice Tinsley, The Star in Topsy Turvy Christmas, sang the solo for the first verse of Once in Royal David’s City, Constance Squires sang the Aria O Thou that tellest Good Tidings to Zion from Handel’s Messiah, Danae Eleni, accompanied by her brother Kimon, sang O Holy Night and Jill who has recently joined us played a lovely setting of Silent Night as a piano instrumental. With the traditional readings and several congregational carols, all who attended felt it had been a very special service and it was followed by mulled wine and mince pies. |
