Christingle

Making ChristinglesOn Sunday 23rd December morning a younger group of children came to prepare Christingles for the Christmas Eve service. Each year we seem to get the production line more streamlined and within an hour 150 Christingles were made for the Christmas Eve afternoon service, which took place in the Alun Morris Hall, the most crowded service of the year.

Christingle ServiceWe were led in our carols by the Holman and Howell families with a couple of extras who made a brass and strings group for louder and more gentle carols. We showed a brilliant youtube production of a heaven’s view of the Nativity, performed by children from a Church in Auckland New Zealand, which highlights the sheer surprise of first Christmas. It has the very catchy angelic line from one of the younger angels: Brilliant they won’t be expecting that. Well worth a look at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TM1XusYVqNY
