Blanket for Baghdad: Wednesday 7th January 2015

Blanket for BaghdadJulie Donnelly, who joined us for the Nine Lessons and Carols, when the Remembering tree was dedicated, was moved by the fact that the squares would be used to provide blankets to help severely disabled children in a home in Baghdad run by the Missionaries of Charity. She decided to crochet a complete blanket in memory of her father and donated it to Angela Murray, who has coordinated the Remembering Tree project across the Diocese.

A big thank you to Julie and all the ladies in Bahrain and beyond who have donated their time energy and gifts to create squares. We can now look forward to a book of the project in which I am sure there will be some moving stories.
