More than twenty people came together to make palm crosses at Grant and Angela Murray’s home or more precisely their garden. The palm crosses are taken to the Diocesan Synod for onward transmission to Cyprus as an expression of our exchange with the Diocese of Exeter. It has been interesting to read in Mainly Uphill the commitment of Exeter to the Diocese in its early days and the vital financial support given to sustain the central office. This was a very pleasant two hours in warm winter sunshine in a lovely setting on a public holiday – the Prophet’s Birthday – and more than 850 palm crosses were made. It also enabled some who were new to the Cathedral to get to know others in a friendly informal context. There is a further workshop this coming Thursday. |
