On Monday 18th March I had a very interesting hour with Zia Salim, a Fullbright Scholar and a PhD student in geography at San Diego State University. As a former geography student myself I always have a soft spot for geographers. He is doing research on expatriates, particularly those living on compounds and exploring where and how they find community. In particular he was probing me on the nature of community that the church offers. There may be an opportunity to help him in his research by encouraging our community to respond to an anonymous questionnaire. It seems to me that this is a really valuable
area of research and I look forward to reading his work. |
