Christmas Dinner with the Japanese Ambassador
 On Monday evening we were guests at the Japanese Ambassador’s residence for a Christmas Dinner. Both Father Ding and I were invited to say grace: as Ambasssador Shigeki said, “a double blessing,” and it was good to have some good conversation with various ambassadors and senior officers from both the US Navy and Royal Navy. So often the events we meet with them are cocktail parties and diplomats are masters at brief exchanges and moving on to meet the next person. |
