 On Sunday evening a slightly bizarre event happened: the Gulf Daily News photographer arrived towards the end of the service, while I was giving out the notices, took a few pictures and promptly left. The caption in Tuesdays paper, under a picture of me, was about “a procession led by the Cathedral Dean and participants shared anecdotes and stories about the holidays.” This was meant to be a description of our Advent and Christmas evening of Carols and readings in the Deanery… but I have to say we are very grateful to George Williams at the GDN for the space he kindly gives us so regularly and the information about the Christmas services this year was both full and accurate. |
