Lent Pots
It has become a tradition that, each year, plain clay money pots are bought from a pottery in Bahrain, later painted in bright colours and whacky designs, all ready for the start of Lent. Then the serious business begins.
Parishioners are encouraged to take a pot home and so donate their money. After Lent, members of the Friday Club ceremoniously smash the pots. All proceeds are donated to Ecumenical Conference of Charity (E.C.C)
