Hanna’s Retirement: Sunday 7th June 2015

We are often marking people moving on at the end of their time in Bahrain and present them with a print of the Cathedral, that it is easy to forget those are resident in Bahrain. So, it was good that at the Sunday morning Eucharist, Hanna and Marlene Francis, with their daughter Christine, came to the altar rail for prayer on the occasion of Hanna’s long-awaited retirement after ten years’ service with the United Cement Company, an important transition for him and the family. We also took the opportunity to present them with a print of the cathedral for them to enjoy in their retirement and we all enjoyed a retirement cake provided by Marlene at refreshments following the service
