Mina Iwahashi Concert: Thursday 19th February 2015

We felt very privileged to hear Mina Iwahashi play Johann Sebastian Bach’s DasWohltemperierteKlavier in the cathedral on Thursday evening  and the Japanese Ambassador joined us for the evening.  Mina studied the piano from the age of five and spent four years living in Russia studying at the St. Petersburg State Conservatory. She is currently teaches music at the Japanese School in Bahrain. A few of her students attended the concert – we deliberately offer tickets free for children to encourage families to attend. We can look forward to future programmes as she clearly enjoys playing in the cathedral and the warmth of reception of the audience.
