 The arrival of the Logos Hope in Bahrain has been well publicised in the English language papers so it was good to be there for the Official opening. It was a very gracious event with a brief DVD of the work of the Logos Hope, brief addresses by the Captain and the Senior Manager, both who have served on board the ship and its predecessors for many years, a Korean Fan Dance, a display by crew members of their national costumes and a presentation to a minister in the Culture ministry, who are sponsoring the ship’s visit.  There was then an oportunity to see round the bookshop, which takes up a substantial part of one deck and to view the variety of books that are on sale. |
