 The Evening service followed and this was followed by the final Living Room Dialogue of the year – not exactly a dialogue but a sharing of Advent and Christmas readings and poetry. We had an Irish story, a Singhalese carol, Appalachian and Lancashire folk songs, a retelling of the Russian story Baboushka, and a lovely piano setting of Silent Night. All intermingled with carols, and launched with mulled wine and mince pies and other seasonal foods – it was a very enjoyable evening that concluded a busy day. |
