We were privileged to welcome the Manama String Quartet for a concert on Thursday evening at 6pm in the Cathedral. It was encouraging that with relatively little publicity an appreciative audience of 45 came to listen and two came to the Friday morning service for the first time the following day. They played Cristanemi by Puccini, Dvorjak’s String Quartet in F Major The American and Schubert’s String Quartet in D Minor Death and the Maiden. I am encouraging them to organize a series of concerts at that time as so many clearly appreciated it and went on to dinner afterwards. |
