The St Christopher’s School choir and quintet were once again present- they have had an exhausting week- for the annual British Embassy carols evening hosted by the Ambassador, Iain Lindsay. The temperature at this time of year is perfect for an outdoor gathering and the chances of rain are very small, so planning such an event is not too complicated. There was both community singing, and an opportunity to listen to the choir, two readings from the Lion Storyteller’s Bible. At the end I gave a blessing and publicly thanked Iain and Bridget Lindsay, for hosting the carols again and for their warm hospitality; this was their last Carols evening and it was an especially festive occasion and hopefully raised considerable funds for the two charities being supported. |
