Years 5 and 6 of St Christopher’s School put on a performance of The Sound of Music. As I had the BACC meeting on the Monday and Tricia had Manama Singers on Tuesday, we attended different performances but both of us were delighted to be there. Not least because so many of our talented Friday Club young people were in lead roles: Beatrice as Maria; Luke as Captain von Trapp; Kathleen as one of the nuns; Charlotte as the lady, who couldn’t stop bowing at the Salzburg Festival and Ethan as a ballroom dancer. I think we felt almost as proud as the parents and the teachers at school.
Wendy Bataineh, Head of the Junior School, felt it had been the best Junior School production ever. It will be hard to beat it. |
