 Our older young people and adults had been practicing hard on Friday mornings for the presentation of Godspell as part of the Friday morning family service. Based as it is on Matthew’s Gospel and with a distinctly Advent theme, it was especially appropriate for near the second weekend of Advent with its opening Prepare the Way of the Lord… Congratulations to Graham and Cathy Roberts, who had the idea of doing it and worked to shape it up, and to Jill Laping who carried the music on the piano and to all the cast on what was a really powerful presentation. I even had a text from Canada a few days later asking for the three points of my sermon on the theme being salt, light and like a city. |
