  The last few days Bahrain has experienced more rain than we’ve experienced all year (probably not such a feat!) and last night we were woken by the booming of thunder. Getting up to a flooded car park, I abandoned shoes and socks and rolled up my trousers to cross to the cathedral. Sadly the water had also come through the roof of the Cathedral office (despite being fixed three years ago), so morning prayers were postponed (laborare est orare) as barefooted we began to swish the water out of the door and remove books and electrical equipment from further possible inundation. |
