St Francis of Assisi
 Some weeks ago Michael Lightfoot asked me if he could do a presentation on St Francis of Assisi, whose life and ministry has again been under the spotlight with the new pope taking on his name. I suggested a Fifth Sunday of the month as a suitable opportunity and together with our Readers he planned and pulled together a service which included music, hymns, prayers, a spontaneous Bible reading and reflection and art – the frescoes of Giotto di Bondone. |
