Margaret “Maureen’ Shaker
 On Saturday, following the service at Awali, I took a Memorial Service for Margaret “Maureen’ Shaker who died here in Bahrain after a rich life married to Mahmud, which took her from Portsmouth to Iraq, Kuwait, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia, Liberia and eventually to Bahrain. Her three children are here, Hong Kong and Dubai reflective of mobility of the world we live in. She was a much loved wife, mother and grandmother and that was reflected in the service. |
