Conference on the USN Base: 10th February 2015

Coming back from Synod on the Saturday, a Conference put on by the US Navy Chaplains seemed almost an extension of Synod. We were addressed by a lawyer working in the US Navy, who had worked in the Senior Chaplain’s Office in the Pentagon advising on the interface of federal law on pastoral issues for chaplains. It led to some lively question and discussion time and I was invited to chair a panel discussion. It was good to meet up again with Chaplain Ron Nordan, who was our first ever Living Room Dialogue speaker five years ago (January 2009). He has since been Chaplain to Camp David, the Presidential Retreat and is now here as the US Marine Corps Chaplain.
