Nine Lessons and Carols

The Nine Lessons and Carols Service is always a highlight of the Christmas season and all the more so this year with the formal launch of the Cathedral Choir which has been rehearsing a couple of lovely carols Breath of Heaven and Night of Silence on Wednesday evenings over the past five weeks. Although numbers at rehearsal have fluctuated due to various commitments on the night of the Carol Service we had eighteen members of the choir and a lovely balance of voices. The Manama Singers also came and sang a couple of carols written by John Rutter. Many thanks to Jill Laping, who has been directing us so enthusiastically. Hopefully we will be able to continue as a choir for special occasions.
