 It was a privilege to attend the first wedding of the Suthan to Shiney. Stephen invited me to give the final blessing and I joined the congregation, who really acted as family to the bride and groom for the reception afterwards.  There were some lovely traditions, particularly showering the young couple with flower petals as a sign of God’s blessing. The food was served on banana leaves, a variety of different curries and rice. I was offered a plate , which I refused but did accept a spoon after eating with my fingers was a particularly messy business, for me at least! |
