 On Wednesday Stephen and I visited the offices of ICAP (Middle East) to receive a cheque for the ECC for BD3000 from their Charity Day. We were warmly welcomed, were introduced to all the staff and got a feel for their work sitting in front of screens all day and trading in huge sums of money in a variety of ways. When life was quiet the British Lions rugby game against Western Force in South Africa was live on the TV. It is so different from my day job, but I found it fascinating. Congratulations to Mariam who works at ICAP for suggesting the ECC as a worthy recipient and thanks to the management and employees for their generous gift and their welcome. |
