|In the morning service of Friday 25th January we said our farewells to Philip Shepherdson who has served as Cathedral Warden so effectively over two years. Philip has really got to know the Friday morning congregation especially and in a quiet way has drawn people into serving in a variety of ways. He will be greatly missed (as will his colourful shirts), but we can only be pleased for him and Maria that he is joining her in her ministry in Avebury, which I read recently came second in UNESCO World Heritage sights. That will be an encouragement for many of us to visit him. Following the morning service we had a shared lunch at the Hanson-Singh’s home.
