Friday evening following an afternoon at the St Christopher’s School Fair where I met up with several people I’d not seen for months, I completed a cultural week by front of housing and attending the Manama Singers presentation of both the Vivaldi’ and Rutter’ Glorias at the Diplomat Hotel and joined by a St Christopher’s School Choir for Hope for Resolution by Pam Caldwell and Sean Ivory, a South African carol as the country sought to put behind its apartheid past.
It was a wonderful evening acknowledged by a very appreciative audience. Sadly it was the last main production under the baton of Michael Natzke who as Musical Director has given so much to the Manama Singers over the past two years. His sensitive leadership will be missed. |
