Carols at British Embassy

Carols at British Embassy 1For many in the community the festive season begins with Carols at the British Embassy. It was a little more informal this year with the British School choir leading carols in the first half and the Manama Singers leading carols in the second half.Carols at British Embassy 2

There was a story for children, Bible Readings were taken from the excellent Lion Bible for Children written by Murray Watts and the evening concluded with The Twelve Days of Christmas sung by the staff of the British Embassy . I was invited to join the staff choral group to sing the Seventh day of Christmas. 500 people came and it was wonderful to meet up with  Nancy, who comes from Egypt but has lived many years in the UK, who has had long-standing links with the Focolare community, which has been an important part of our lives over many years.
