After the Christian Foundations Group last night Tricia and I donned our blue shirts to go and watch the big Manchester derby at the Brit Club on the big screen – a late night, but worth it! When we were in Windermere, we did a regular after Easter swap of parishes in Manchester and Tony Porter (now Bishop of Sherwood), with whom I swapped, was the Chaplain to Manchester City with the City training ground just next door. There were a few who were a little surprised to see us in that context, pint of beer in hand, but it was a good night!
