We had a great time with a small group of youngsters in TGIF: bowling and eating not very healthy food at the Food Court at the Bahrain City Centre mall on Friday evening. They are keen to have one more event before we disappear on leave in mid-June. And on Saturday those who have been regulars in the Reader Training Group came round for a near end of year meal. Within a few weeks Robert O’Meara will have returned to Canada, Erin Grayson to the States and hopefully Carol Melrose to the UK. This is the nature of Bahrain and is reflective of the expatriate community, particularly in the current economic climate. We will miss them, but it has been a joy to have been part of this special group and to have been involved in their ministerial formation. |
