 Tricia and I both headed for Cyprus on different flights on different days and for different Diocesan meetings, but we did manage 24 hours together in Katafiyio, the Diocesan Retreat House in Kapedes in the Troodos Mountains. Twenty Four hours hours there is like a week in many places with its quiet inner courtyard and the possibility of walking out into the hills.  On one walk I met a goat herdsman with 300 goats. Gulf Air Flights direct to Cyprus have become very intermittent, so Tricia ended up going via Abu Dhabi with Etihad and I went with Emirates through Dubai, leaving at 0350 on Saturday morning. |
